BOOST
MOBILE PRO PRES. BY HURLEY ROUND 1 ACTION STARTS TODAY
LOWER TRESTLES, California (Sunday, September 9, 2007) - Round 1 of
the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley will begin today with the
venue at Lower Trestles offering up clean two-to-three-foot (1 metre)
surf.
Event
No. 6 of 10 on the 2007 Foster's ASP World Tour, the Boost Mobile
Pro will hope to complete all 16 heats of Round 1, with Heat 1 hitting
the water at 8am.
"It's
about two-to-three-foot this morning and it is unfortunate that it
has dropped a little bit overnight but there are still some clean,
little waves out there," Event Director Mike Parsons said. "It's
going to continue to drop tomorrow so we will be getting underway
with all 16 heats of Round 1 today. Despite the fact that it's small,
we still have clean conditions and are excited to get things started."
Day
1 will deliver a slew of dynamic match-ups with current ASP frontrunners
Mick Fanning (AUS), Taj Burrow (AUS), Kelly Slater
(USA) and Andy Irons (HAW) squaring off against dangerous wildcards
Jordy Smith (ZAF), Sunny Garcia (HAW), Dane Reynolds
(USA) and Rob Machado (USA).
Don't
miss a moment of LIVE action as the entire Boost Mobile Pro will be
webcast on www.boostmobilepro.com.

Sunny Garcia (HAW) happy to be autographing again.
