C J Hobgood (USA/Florida) is the number one seed surfing the O’Neill Cold Water Classic in Tasmania. He revelled in the excellent waves on Tasmania’s rugged north west coastline today posting two outstanding rides, a 9.57 and a 9.00 to take a massive round two heat win.

O’Neill Cold Water Classic Series is off and running on Tasmania’s wild west coast.

Day 2 of the O’Neill Cold Water Classic in Tasmania has again found excellent surf and is running at the surf break appropriately named – Kelpies – near Marrawah, Tasmania’s north west coastline.

The final 14 heats of round one were completed this morning and then straight into round two which will see the top seeds enter the water lead by 2000 ASP World Champion C J Hobgood (USA/Florida) in heat one of round two.

Organizers are planning to run through 9 heats in round two with the excellent surf expected to maintain all day.

Clancy Dawson (AUS/NSW/Kingscliff) in fantastic form in Tasmania today surfing the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) O’Neill Cold Water Classic. Dawson scored a big win, posting an excellent 9.33 out of 10 on this ride to advance to tomorrows round two.
