The competition organisers – Films Up North, Thirroul Youth Project and Scarborough Boardriders - would like to thank all sponsors for their generous participation in the first year of Surf2Film. In the hope of making Surf2Film an annual Seaside Festival event, the organisers will soon be seeking extra support from major surfing companies to help produce a bigger and better Surf2Film event on 2006. The ethic of Surf2Film is to encourage and support young people interested in both film production and surf culture. Due to the overwhelming turnout in 2005, next year the organisers are looking to hold the event again as a night event on Thirroul Beach during t he Seaside Festival.
